Charge 4 only records first period of my sleep

Hi, I purchased my charge 4 a couple of months ago and it has always been flakey regarding recording sleep.  I updated the firmware on both the app and the charge 4 before Christmas.  Charge 4 now on 48.20001.100.43.  It did record all sleep periods for a few days but for last 2 weeks has only recorded first period of sleep which is normally approx 1 1/2hr hours.  Does not record any further sleep periods after this.  I have rebooted both app and charge 4.  Have fully charged both and ensured that charge 4 is not too tight or loose.  Do you have any other suggestions for resolving this.

Hi there, @Tarachat75. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 4 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from.

Bear in mind that your time asleep is calculated by subtracting your time spent awake and restless from your overall tracked sleep time. For example, if you slept 8 hours but woke up 2 times for 15 minutes each, your time asleep would be 7 hr 30 min. To learn more about your time asleep in sleep stages, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

Note: Your device needs at least 3 hours of sleep data to estimate your sleep stages

Hope that helps.

Hi,
Thank you for this. However the problem appears to be that once I wake up (generally around 00:30) it then doesn’t register any further sleep which would be the main sleep period for myself.

Kind Regards

Tara

This is the problem with forum answers. Do you think all these people having the SAME ISSUE with only their initial sleep period being recorded don't already know the definition of restless sleep? Many of us work odd hours and may sleep twice a day with work hours in between those sleep periods. We want both sleep periods recorded -- not just the first one! How hard is that to understand. Why can that question not be answered?
