My Charge 4 screen only works if the room is pitch black. Even the light from my phone screen stops me from seeing the charge 4 screen. The brightness is turned up to normal, sleep mode is off and I’ve tried a hard restart of the device but none of those work. The device still captures steps, heart rate, sleep etc. I just can’t see the screen if there’s any light at all

I am suddenly having the same problem. I have restarted, rebooted, changed all of the settings, etc. The only way I can see it is to go into a pitch black room and use a magnifying glass. I hope someone pops on here and helps us find a solution.

I have a Charge 3 and same thing. I can’t see anything unless it’s pitch dark and even then the numbers are barely readable.

I have the same problem and this is my second Charge 4 that has gone like this. Last time I had to buy a new one as I couldn't solve the problem. Some help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, and welcome to the new users in the community forums.
Thank you for your inquiry about the Charge 4 display and for all your feedback.
You'll be able to change the brightness of the screen by going to the settings app on your device. Please follow the steps listed here below:
In addition, make sure the DND (Do Not Disturb Mode) and the Sleep mode are also turned off, as they automatically dim the screen. You can find these options by pressing and holding the side button for about two seconds until the Quick Settings screen appears. I recommend that you also try restarting your device.
Keep in mind that there are currently a few settings on your device to be able to increase brightness of the display, but I have seen other people have provided this feedback about brightness when they're under the sunlight, so I highly recommend that you vote for this idea posted in the Feature Suggestion section of the Community; this is always helpful for the team of developers to continue to track popularity and demand over time: Charge 4 screen brightness boost.

Hi Davide,
In the original post you’ll see that I’ve already tried all of these options and so have other commenters. This issue is not that the brightness is on dim or do not disturb is on or sleep mode. These settings are all correct as they should be.
The issue is also not necessarily in direct sunlight. This could just be in a dimly lit room, but any source of light - no matter how small, prevents the display from showing.
From the other comments there is clearly another issue with various devices where people can’t see the screen regardless of the settings on the device - is there a fix for this?

Hello
The screen on my charge 4 is hardly visible in any light and is almost useless.
I have tried all options, resetting, changing the brightness, screen wake, sleep mode etc but nothing.
I would like to know what can be done to fix this?
Thanks
