I bought my Charge 4 in January of last year. Today it fell off of my wrist while standing and doing nothing. Upon examination I saw that two pieces broke apart, so my band won't stay on. Customer support sent me 35% off of another item. This seems to be a well known flaw. I am disappointed that not more was done to remedy the situation. 😞

For now, my device is being held together with electrical tape. Not very classy and definitely not a good advertisement for the quality.

Amazon sells 3rd party bands that the pebble fits into so you can still use your device.

15 months and mine broke at the same spot. Fitbit basically says they aren’t responsible after 365 days. Too many other choices out there to stay.

I know but they're big. Bully and ugly

But now my new bands won’t work on my Charge 4. Wondering if the bands will also fit a Charge 5.

I guess I'm counting myself lucky that I experienced the same issue while mine was still in warranty. Purchased the charge 4 just after Mother's Day 2021 and it sounds like it separated in a very similar spot and was similar in that it just fell off the wrist randomly. Just submitted a ticket and came to the forums to see if anyone else was experiencing it. Fingers crossed that Fitbit has found a way to resolve this if its a design flaw.

I believe that the Charge 4 do not fit the Charge 5. Good luck with your new device.

Yeah same thing happened to me but six months after I bought my first charge four and I didn’t get anything.

I didn’t even get that much assistance. The prongs on my Charge 4 broke as I was taking it off to shower. I also bought it in January 2021 and it broke less than 14 months later. Similar situation with my previous charge. The screen display died after 14 months of ownership. You would think they could create a device that lasts longer. I will think long and hard before buying another Fitbit product.

Totally agree. I’ve had 2 Fitbit trackers in 4 years. 1. Charge 3 - screen went out after about 15 months. Charge 4 - band plastic clips broke after another 16 months With the charge 3 - I went ahead and took the 35% off and bought the charge 4. Now, Fitbit customer service wants to give me another 35% for a THIRD watch. No thanks. I’m hearing from family/friends their first5 watches are more than 6 years old and still work just fine. I really liked my Fitbit set up, but as you say - there’s lots of other choices.
