Charge 4 "special edition"

Newbie pretty much to fitbit (current owner of Charge 2). 

Going to upgrade to a Charge 4 Special Edition

I'm guessing that when you add a device it's done under the Charge 4 heading since there is no "special edition" listed.

I'm also assuming that any updates, etc will distinguish between any differences between the 4 and special edition ? 

Also - I live on a lake - in the water often in summer ... wading, some swimming 

What have you all experienced with the "water resistant" of these watches ... I do not plan on having this watch any deeper than a couple or three feet from the top of the water but it could be submerged often during those depths... Yes I will also try and protect by keeping it from being submerged as often as possible ... 

Any help is appreciated ... patience is appreciated as I'm an old guy AND from SOGA - South Georgia ... y'all know we are slow ! haha

As far as I remember the Special Edition of Charge 4 differs from the normal edition only because of the presence of an additonal band so all features, firmwares and so are identical between the 2 versions.

I'm using my Charge 4 since a couple of years and had no problem of water resistance so far (now I'm keeping my fingers crossed), I don't swim but I never take care of removing it while washing dishes, washing my cars, having bath or shower, even in the hot tub.

Sadly, Fit4Energy is correct. The special edition is far from special, mine cost me £20 less than the standard edition, no extra features, I do prefer the “special” strap to standard.
