Charge 4 reminders to move not working

I just upgraded from a Charge 2 to the Charge 4. The reminder to move worked on the Charge 2, but is not working on the Charge 4. I have rebooted and cannot figure out why it will not work.

Thanks for troubleshooting this reminders to move issue. Have you checked if this feature is well set? If you haven't, I recommend checking this by doing the following:

1. On the Today tab , tap the hourly activity tile .
2. Tap the gear icon, and turn Reminders to Move on or off.

Yes, the Reminder's to Move was on in the gear icon. What I did do was go to settings on my C4 and changed the Do Not Disturb to off. The next hour I received thee reminder and I was so excited. Unfortunately, it did not work for the following hour. I will monitor to see if it works for the next hour. I will keep you posted.

I am new to Fitbit and have a Charge 4. I've tried everything I can think of to get the movement reminders, but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help?

Did you try changing the settings on your C4 for the Do Not Disturb to off? Mine is now working. Good luck!

Thanks for letting me know that the reminders to move aren't working on your Charge 4, as well for the steps that you've tried on your own. If you haven't done so, please give a try to the great suggestion posted by @Blessingtoyou about turning off the Do Not Disturb settings. You can do this by holding the button, swiping left to access the quick settings screen and tapping on DND icon. When you turn off the setting, the icon appears dim with a line through it.

If the issue persists, try restarting your Charge 4 with the steps described in this help article. This will refresh its performance.

I also tried all of the suggestions (I went so far as to sign out of the app and delete it, turn of the phone, reboot the C4, and start from scratch) and nothing worked until I check my Do Not Disturb setting (gleaned from this thread). I couldn't tell if it was on or off so I toggled it back and forth a few times and stopped when I was sure it was in the off position. I also set up a sleep schedule (11pm-7am) because that seemed to be having some effect on DND. That worked for me. I did it early yesterday and I have gotten all of my reminders, notifications, and celebrations (for reaching goals) that I was not getting for the last few days. I hope you get things back into working order!

Same...upgraded from Charge 2 to Charge 4 a few months ago and reminders to move as well as notifications from phone have never worked. I have tried the reset while plugged in over and over, have deleted and redownloaded the app a few times. Should the display say “off” for Do Not Disturb when it is off it does it say that if you want to turn it off? Either way, have tried both and it doesn’t work.

Reminders and notifications from phone have not worked in the few months I have had the Charge 4. Tried the other steps. Keeping LizzyFitBit posted

My reminders to move on my Fitbit charge 4 stopped working a few days ago, and they stopped on my wife's charge four at the same time. I have tried everything on this forum and nothing worked. DND is off, sleep mode off, checked the settings on the phone, restarted the charge several times and restarted my phone. Still nothing.

@MaryB56, thanks for sharing the steps that worked for you. I'm glad that you're receiving your reminders and notifications, and I'm sure others will find your post very helpful!

@WantMy2Dollars and @Mladen_nikolic, thanks for keeping me posted about your Charge 4 and the time taken to troubleshoot them. Our team recently released a new firmware version on your trackers which includes some new features and improvements. If you've not done so, please update your trackers, set up the reminders, double check that the DND (Do Not Disturb) and sleep mode are off and test it one more time.

I also have no notifications to move on my Charge 4.  I updated the app, and the do not disturb is only set for hours that are not the same as the ones to move.  Reset everything. Still won’t work 😞

Hi, I have the same problem. I went into the gears tab in the Today section of my dashboard - only option is to reset hourly activity goal...nothing about reminders to move.

My reminders quit working a few weeks ago as well as my call and text notifications. I have it set up to receive them in the app. I have rebooted and installed the updates. 

Is the Do Not Disturb on when it says *on* in the settings on my C4? Or when it says *off*?

Hello - I'm having the same issue with the Charge 4, which I bought yesterday. To troubleshoot this I have:

• set DND to off
• set reminders to move to on
• set notifications to on
• set a sleep schedule
• updated my fitbit this morning

None of these seems to be working... can you advise on what to do next?

Yes, changing the settings on my Charge 4 for the "Do Not Disturb" to off made all the difference.  Now I get the familiar reminder at 10 minutes before the hour if I have not yet taken 250 steps - thanks!

I double checked to make sure DND & Sleep Mode were both off then set a Sleep Schedule for 11:00pm-6:00am. Now my move reminders are working again!

I’ve tried everything here and nothing works. It’s impossible to have DND off and reminders to move (RTM) on. So on my watch I have DND on and RTM on. I also have RTM set to on on the phone app (via the gear wheel icon)
