Charge 4 reminders to move not working

I just upgraded from a Charge 2 to the Charge 4. The reminder to move worked on the Charge 2, but is not working on the Charge 4. I have rebooted and cannot figure out why it will not work.

Hello Daisycat300 - please see this suggestion from LizzyFitbit, which
worked for me:

DND and sleep mode both need to be off apparently, assuming your C4 has
been updated.

Thank you, sadly when I turn DND off, the exercise alerts automatically get greyed out. Maybe they will work anyway - I’ll try it 🙂

I too was confused when I changed the DND to off and my Exercise alert "on" was greyed out, but as odd as that seems, it does work! Hope it works for you Daiseycat300! 

 

If Lizzyfitbit sees this post, could you respond to why C4 setting is setup to grey out the exercise alert when you turn DND to off? 😕 It is very confusing.  Thank you

It was on already so I turned it on and off again and it still isn't working.

@Mladen_nikolic@Blessingtoyou@SeñorCaminante@BeccaB425@heathbarts and @Daisycat300, thanks for your efforts while troubleshooting your tracker and for sharing the steps that worked for you. I'm glad that your Charge 4 is now receiving your reminders to move. You guys did an amazing job!

For the ones that are still having issues with the reminders to move, please double check the following settings:

On your Charge 4

  • Turn off the Do Not Disturb (circle with a line icon) settings.
  • Turn off the Sleep Mode (moon icon) settings.
  • Note that if you have set a sleep schedule, the reminders won't go through during that time.

On the Fitbit app

  • Make sure your Charge 4 and the Fitbit app are updated.
  • Tap on the Hourly Activity tile > gear icon > turn on the Reminders to Move setting.

If all those settings are correct, restart your Charge 4, sync with the Fitbit app and wait to receive your reminders on the next 10 minutes before the hour so you can complete the 250 steps.

I have a charge 3, mine still doesn’t give me exercises reminder even when I have DND with exercise reminders on. How do I solve this issue?

This tread addresses the Charge 4, so I am not sure this is the best place
to obtain resolution for your Charge 3 question. I would recommend
searching for the Charge 3 thread regarding reminders to move. I hope you
find resolution to your problem.

Sorry, but I don't have expertise in C3. I switched from Versa to C4 as my
first C device.

Because you have a Charge 3, I'd recommend to share your comments to its dedicated board by clicking New Topic so you can have more chances to receive help from the moderators and the Community. All was working well, but as of today my reminders to remove is gone on my CH4 device, When I go to my FITBIT app, my reminders to move will not stay on and will not show up on my CH4 device,

 

I have confirmed:

 

On your Charge 4

Not sure why, but right after I sent the question above, my reminders was visible on my CH4 device, I have no clue what caused the glitch, but all is well again.

Hey, I've tried ALLL of the above and still not getting any reminder to move alerts?! Also not getting any alerts when I hit my target steps. What do I do? Thanks

Hi

it’s a bit fiddly and took me a few goes. Things to check:

Is your DND still ‘off’?

is your exercise alert ‘on’ greyed out?

if yes to both of those then try changing your sleep mode to which ever setting is different to the current one that’s not working!

@Cattt89, thanks for trying the suggestions shared in this thread. Please take a look to @Daisycat300's post as if the DND or sleep mode are enabled your tracker won't be able to receive any type of notifications, alerts or reminders. Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

Hey, yes tried everything in this thread! Dnd and sleep mode are both disabled, I've tried resetting twice, I'm getting text notifications etc but still never had a move alert notification! It's very frustrating! I had never got a notification for reaching my steps goal either but this seems to be working after resetting. Still no move alerts though! 😞
