Charge 4 screen is fading

My Charge 5 is on 18months old and it is not so dull I can hardly see it. The pixels at the top are also starting to disappear. Is it normal for this happen. For a watch I paid $250 for I would expect it to last longer than 18months.

Hi, there must be multiple reasons for the screen to become harder to see going by other posts. I first swapped to a different clock face, but now that is getting hard to see unless it's in a low light level - the screen also has a striped appearance suggesting that the display is actually failing. I have also tried cleaning the light level hole on the 'button' side but that did not work. It is poor for a product that is not that old.

Hey hey hey, welcome to our community! I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 4 screen is hard to see. Thank you for mentioning the steps you have followed and for your advise.

If your Charge 4 screen is getting dim check the display settings for the brightness, that it is not in DND or sleep mode and restart your device. You can also try changing the clock face.

You can restart your tracker from your wrist. Open the Settings app and tap About > Reboot Device.

If your Charge series tracker is unresponsive: .

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Disconnect your tracker from the charging cable.

Your tracker should now work normally. If your tracker still doesn't work after a restart, contact Customer Support.

My Charge 4 is doing the same.  Pixels dim/dead so the time doesn’t read properly.
