The face of my charge 4 can only be accessed by pressing side button. Very inconvenient.

Hi there, @Debbiegfamily. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 4.

As @JohnnyRow has mentioned, please go to your quick settings and check that screen wake hasn't accidentally been turned off. Press and hold the button, and swipe left to access the quick settings screen. Change whether the screen turns on when you turn your wrist. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device?

If this settings is set correctly, please try restarting your Charge 4 by following these steps: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

Check that you don't have 'Screen Wake' turned Off' or are in 'Sleep Mode' - both in Quick Settings.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks for your reply.  The problem is that the screen is completely blank so any swiping doesn’t show me what is on the screen - chicken and egg… or am i missing something please.

I have already tried restarting the device.  I feel the vibrations but at the end, the screen is still blank.

I don’t understand why this is rated as BEST ANSWER. The issues is not fixed. I was never asked if it was fixed. The swipe left doesnot work because the screen is completly blank. Swipe left even with button pressed does not make any of the menus visible. I have tried the restart but the screen is still blank. ABSOLUTELY NO display at all. Is it possible to reset screen brightness from the app on IOS

@tonmilx  Looking at the times on the posts, it looks like the original poster and the post marked the best answer were both posted before your post, and you added your issues onto the end of another post, unless someone moved your post here.  I expect the original poster marked the best answer.  Sometimes it is best to start a new thread for cases such as this because the post marked 'best answer' apparently solved the original poster's problem, but did not solve your issue.
