Charge 4 showing "active call"

Hi, my Charge 4 gives me an "active call" notification every 1-2 mins while I am on any type of call. It's very annoying as it makes me think I'm getting notifications. My Inspire only gave me this notification once after being on a call for 10 mins.

Also when I receive a text msg my Chart 4 vibrates twice in 1 minute for the same text msg, this is also annoying as I think it makes me think I got another text when I didn't. I have rebooted, repaired and set up my Charge 4 again with the same issue. I have an iPhone 8 with the the latest iOS and my Charge 4 & Fitbit app are also up to date... anyone any ideas?

Hi,

The issues resolved by going to Settings > About > Clear User and then setting it up brand new again!

Many thanks 🙂

Is this fix on the app?  I don’t see the options and the notifications are driving me crazy!

Clearing the user seems to have worked!  Rebooting did not as suggested to me before. Thanks!

Unfortunately this fix seemed to only be temporary. The active call notifications have started again. I cleared user and it only fixed the issue for a couple days. Any other ideas to fix this issue?

Same problem here; brand new Charge 4. 'Active Call' seems to be a problem that exist(ed) on Charge 3 as well. Is there some reason there is no setting to simply disable this? Seems weird to want to know who you are on a call with; presumably you knew when you answered the phone or called a person. : )

anyone... bueller... looking for an answer besides 'clear user'. Won't that also delete the user history?

Best Answer

Still nothing. What news, Fitbit?

Multiple attempts to 'clear user' and restart fitbit, reinstall app, readd the Charge 4 - no dice. Same behavior persists.

@AlejandraFitbit This problem actually disappeared for quite a while and has returned out of nowhere. I tried rebooting and cleared the user but that did not work at all this time. Is there a way to escalate this issue?  It makes me not want to use my fitbit anymore. Thanks.

So it looks like this issue has yet to be corrected in about a year?!?  Still no real permanent fix?

Hello everyone. @Mtnman97 Welcome to the community forums.

Thank you for your feedback and for the information. Have you tried to restart your Charge 4? If not, I'd recommend trying to perform a restart by following the instructions in this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

The latest update appears to have mostly resolved the issue. I do get a notification about an active call after 30 minutes or so which is way more manageable than before.

I have tried the tricks listed in the thread and it is still happening.  I believe I have the latest firmware as well. ☹  48.20001.100.43?? Right?
