Hello @AsickofthisW Welcome to the community forums! Thank you for the information!

If your Charge 4 shows the Fitbit logo and a message to download or update the App, then it is possible that it has been removed from your Fitbit account. If this is the case, I recommend following the steps below:

1. Tap the Today tab Fitbit logo in black, which looks like 13 circles in the shape of a diamond, where the circles are larger from left to right, and tap your profile picture.
2. Tap Set Up a Device.
3. Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

For more information, I recommend visiting the following help articles: How do I set up my Fitbit device? Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps!

Try restarting the whole process from scratch. First remove the device from your fitbit account. Then completely uninstall the app, make your phone's bluetooth "forget" the fitbit. Reinstall the app and then re-add the device.

Seems the sync became totally de-synced from it being away from your phone for so long. The process I suggest may or may not be overkill, but it's a good idea to just get all possible issues out of the way without having to waste anymore time troubleshooting. Hope it goes well!

Edit : While you're at it, there is also a way to do a factory reset of the device itself. https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186.htm

Might as well add this into the process while you're at it. Note though, the factory reset process is a physical pain in the rear end! It is almost physically impossible but I got it to work eventually lol.

Appreciate the advice but still not getting anywhere with it.  If I take it off the charger it goes black screen n won't light up again untill it's been on charge for a couple hours.

I think I'm accepting that it's a waste of my time effort and money.  See how long my sister's lasted her I may buy another one but atm I wouldn't even recommend. A certainly not a charge 4.

Ironically I dug out my fitbit ONE hasn't been charged for 3+ years works fine. Just had to do an update on it.

I also have the same issue although I haven’t misplaced it. Just stopped lighting up like the battery had died, now all I get is logo and 100 when on charge. Off charge just blank screen.

How about not asking everyone to chat and just give us solutions?

Same problem as all these other people. All support is going to do us placate and say 'sorry' just spend more money.

Yes definetly don’t have the time for this. Big disappointment, Apple Watch will have to be next purchase then!

Me too. Did anyone get a resolution or is this little thing dead?

I got this too, removed from the app and tried re-pairing. App found the device successfully but I can't enter the bloody pairing code because the screen goes blank immediately after the smiley face 🤦🏻‍:male_sign: Seems like a corrupted firmware/bootloader or something but I doubt there's anything that can be done about it.

I've gone through a Charge 2, 3, and 4, and been disappointed by the lifespan every time. Kept hoping things would improve with the next upgrade, but here we are yet again. I guess it's time to do some shopping around for a more reliable brand...
