Charge 4 stopped receiving notifications after the update

I got a software push for my Charge 4 a week ago. I am on version 3.66, After the software push, I no longer get message notifications. They do not appear on my watch. I have notifications on  my charge 4 and message notifications on the app. How do I get messages back?

What worked for me was going into the notifications on the app and disabling them then reenabling them. I had also rebooted my Charge 4 to fix a different problem. So one or both of those things are worth trying.
