I've recently been given a charge 4 as a present, in order to help track swims. I often lose count and like to know how much I've done, etc.
I've been getting out of the pool having done approx 40 lengths, often more and the fitbit app says that I've done about 30ish lengths. I clearly haven't forgotten to count a quarter of my swim and often the resultant length count is an odd number, which is clearly not possible when I get out of the same end that I got in at...
Are there any suggestions or tips as to making the swim tracking work better?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Fraser73.
I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Charge 4. Thank you for the information provided.
Our team has recently released a new version of the Fitbit app (3.53 iOS and 3.53 Android). For instructions on how to check your current version and update, please visit this article and open the menu "How do I update the Fitbit app?".
In addition, please make sure to have set your swimming pool length. For instructions, please visit this article and open the menu "How do I set the pool length for my Fitbit device?".
You can also restart your Charge 4 by following these steps.
Hope this helps.
