Charge 4 went black and heats while charging

Screen went black yesterday and when charging heats up but won’t turn on. Still had a charge when this happened

If I understand you correctly your Charge 4 has a black screen and heats up when it’s plugged into the charger. My suggestion would be DO NOT continue charging your Charge 4 and in a situation such as yours I would contact Fitbit Customer Service to see how they want you to proceed. I wish I could help further but with your Charge 4 heating up it’s best to go through Fitbit Customer Service instead.
