Charge 4 why do total miles increase depending on screen used

On dashboard  miles show 2.03, press this and screen moves Distance "This week" and daily totals, press on "Today" and Total Distance now increases by 2 miles. This happens on all entries regardless of which day month etc. No problem on my Galaxy phone only on my Galaxy tablet.
