Charge 4 won't set up on new phone.

I recently bought a new Samsung s22 phone. The Fitbit app transferred over but would not link with my Charge 4. I removed the Charge 4 from the app and tried to start from scratch, but now the app is asking me to charge the Charge 4 on the original charging cable. My original charging cable broke 1 year ago and I bought a Fitbit brand charging cable, which according to the original packaging was supposed to be compatible with the Charge 4. I tried many times, but the Fitbit app does not recognize that my Charge 4 is charging. Can anyone help with this issue?

@Buglr , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message and information.

When you attach the Charge 4 to the Charging cable do you see the battery icon?

When restarting the Charge 4 do you see the smiley?

Please follow these steps, some of which you have already done, but the order is important:

  • Restart your Charge 4.
  • Please on mobile device, go to Settings>Bluetooth, and remove all connections that exist with the tracker. (Forget, ignore or unpair device depending on the phone OS version)
  • Turn off Bluetooth and restart your phone. (switch off and on again).
  • When the phone is back on, turn on the Bluetooth again, but DO NOT attempt to connect to the tracker from here.
  • Go on the app. From here, try setting up the tracker as a new device.

Hope this helps
