A couple months ago syncing got spotty. It is now Wednesday afternoon. My Charge 4 hasn't synched since Sunday evening. If I request a synch in the app it takes a long time but it goes. If I don't check the app for a day or so, the synching will have stopped. On a daily basis it does pretty good but seems to be looking for an excuse to stop.

I'm seeing similar problems, the Charge 4 stopped syncing a week or two ago and I fixed it by restarting the Charge 4 and powering down the Pixel phone and then restarting it too.
Currently I'm seeing the water display failing to sync and display the current level - that can be fixed y turning the phone off and back on again and then adding a cup of water to the Fitbit but since I didn't drink that cup and then delete the addition and suddenly the Pixel 4 displays the full water amount.
I suspect this is all a Google update issue, "updates" cause problems everywhere.

@Hoovs04r @EdmundC , Nice to have you here. Thank you for your messages and sharing your tries to sync the Charge 4.
Please make sure that you have the latest Fitbit app version installed. We just released a ne update a few days ago.
Please follow these steps, some of which you have already done, but the order is important:
Hope this helps.
