Charge 4 won't track my sleep score

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I don't know why, but 1 days of 7 it doesn't take my sleep score, sometimes for 2 days consecutive.
I tried many time to reset it and restart my phone but it happens again and frequently. I never changed anything else and it is on my wrist in the same way, not too large and not too strong. So, what is the problem? I am near also to renew my subscrition but now I am not sure to do that if I can't see my score every night.  it is very annoying!

Hi there, @Belthazor69. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 4. I understand where your concern is coming from.

Keep in mind that you must see sleep stages in order to see your sleep score information. Please swipe left on the Sleep Score graph, here you can see information about your weekly sleep average and sleep duration. To get more detailed information, see What's sleep score in the Fitbit app?

With that said, I recommend considering the following in order to get sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

For more information, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

Hope this helps.

Well, for the first point i don't think to have change my position to sleep and I never change how I wore my Fitbit. The fact is that happens for a few weeks and I never missed a sleep track . The sensors are always in contact with my skin, there is no space anytime from the sensors and my skin and is not too tight . Anyway i will try to follow your instructions and see what happen then. Only the weird things is that I never changed anything.

Hello I have this same problem. It shows my sleep scores approximately once a week on a random day. I've checked all the points here. There's no obvious reason. Any clues? It's really annoying! NB the app is up to date. Thanks

Same problems. Must be an issue with fitbit

Charge 4. Won’t monitor sleep pattern.
did it four times from new. Now stopped.

There is obviously an issue with them from looking at previous comments.
same stock answer from the moderator.
I will give it another week then I’m returning it if it doesn’t work.
also noted the battery is losing power quickly.

You need to see sleep patterns to get a sleep score.

You need 3 hours of sleep and a consistent heart rate reading to see patterns.

Open The fitbit app, go to the night in question.

Look under the graph, fitbit may already have toodgyou what went wrong.

Hi Rich.
it worked for four nights. No problems.
Doesn’t record details.
Having looked at the forum, it appears to be. Common issue.

So what does your app say @1105pah

I've checked all the tips and followed the advice and also contacted fitbit help who told me to reset the device. But it still will only give me basic sleep stage info.

My heart rate is consistently measured, I'm sleeping for more than 3hrs and I'm not doing any of the other things it warns of. It's clearly a bug as so many people are affected but it's very annoying. My old Alta HR did it fine and gave me a sleep score every day!

It’s not what it says. It’s what it doesn’t say.
No score. No breakdown on sleep pattern.
it had done it several times. Then stopped.
Others as per post have had same issues

Common issue indeed and quite frustrating that Fitbit can't figure this out. I've again seen this issue over the past week where a Sleep Score isn't provided and is typically associated with missing sleep stages. I'm not doing anything different and this is a repeat problem that crops up every couple of months. Disappointing as the sleep information is most important to many and Fitbit can't reliably provide.
