I am on my second Charge 4 and am having the same problem with both  of them.

Fully charged and get the smiley face and then nothing

We have tried everything and nothing works they have a major problem with these

So glad mine was free through insurance because I would not pay for one of these pure junk

I had to call customer service and she had to put in a good bit of effort
to help but we were able to finally get it going right. I think it may be a
Fitbit Charge 4 defect because it seems to be a common problem with the
initial setup. It works just fine now

I also am having a problem with mine as well. I put it back in the box for now. It just keep vibrating. I don't know what to do and its a Saturday so support already stressed because of the covid so now its a weekend and there's even less people on to help. Sigh....

I called on a Monday and got a super helpful customer service woman. We had
to try several approaches to get it to connect, so it took patience on both
our parts to get it to finally set up right. I called because I read the
posts of a lot of other frustrated charge 4 purchasers who couldn't get it
to work following the printed directions for set up. I think there may be a
glitch in the product but it can be overcome with help. It works well once
it is set up.

Hi, how did you solve the issue? I am experiencing the same problem, got my charge 4 today and it isn't coming on at all, I've tried charging it but nothing has happened. It only vibrates when I touch the button and thats it.

I tried everything, too. Ended up calling customer service and got a
patient employee who was able to get me set up right - took a while so
prepare to have it take some time (unless their process has since been
streamlined). It works great now so it was worth the effort.

Smart move. The directions provided are not working for most of us so a
professional touch is needed - someone who knows how to really set it up.

Why can't anyone provide the steps here that they had to go thru with customer support to maybe give some guidance to the rest of us that are trying to figure this out for themselves?

I received a charge 4 today from Amazon and have already returned it because customer support told me it would not work with Windows 10.  One person here said they were using Win 10 and I didn't see indication from anyone else what they were using.  The problems described are very similar to what I was seeing.  It did appear to sync but on the computer bluetooth connection it said nothing was connected.  I would be interested in knowing if anyone did get it working with Win 10.  After talking with them I did notice that the charge 4 manual does not say you can use Win 10 and after much searching I found a statement on the website that the newer devices will not work with Win 10.

Wish I had written the steps down so I could share but it was a long and
involved process. We had to try a variety of different things until it
finally worked and the fitbit synced and connected. I am sure I am not
the only one who found it a frustrating process. Good news - no problem
since.

I have this happening as well.  So far I have read a dozen posts with the same issue in response.  What's up with that Fitbit? Is there a threshold level to meet before change can happen?

We have the same problem, but it happened one day after a year of owning it. We followed all advice, nothing worked. I reached out to fitbit for tips and they just basically said well your warranty is up, so here is a discount code to buy something new from us. Why would I want to buy something again that clearly has so many issues? Or something from a company that doesn't offer a working solution for a hard reboot?
