Charge 4 won't turn on

I charged my Charge 4 to 100 % this morning. 2 hours ago it was dead and I cannot wake it up. Putting on the charger does nothing. It will not even charge.

Hi @DonDIego2, welcome to the community.

I just moved your post to "Other Charge Trackers" to keep the community organized. I want to know if you have tried restarting your Charge 4?

  • Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  • Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  • Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  • Press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

This happened to me too - my Fitbit was ok this morning and now won't turn on and won't charge, it is completely dead.   I've tried your suggestions and it doesn't make any difference.  Does it need a new battery?

The same thing is happening to me.  Sunday night I charged to 100% and Monday night I noticed the battery was dead.  I tried charging, it went from 81% to 0% in minutes. What is going on?

Hi @JudithFere, @RainyP, thank you for taking the time to share your comments and updates. A warm welcome to the new members.

Based on the information provided, I recommend taking a look at this article "Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?", since there are several factors that could affect the battery life of your device.

I also recommend checking if you are missing any firmware update for your devices. Please follow these instructions "How do I update my Fitbit device?" to check for updates.

Hi there.

I'm not new to FitBit (2015) and this is not my 1st technical issue. It will be my last, I won't buy another one just so that it's replaced in less than a year and the the replacement gas the same issue of the replaced tracker.  That makes no sense and it bad business. The 1st article is not helpful to me.... I was only charging my battery once a wk until yesterday.  Please provide the latest firmware information so that we know what it should be.

Thanks!

My charge 4 has also suddenly 'died' with no notification that the battery was low.  Twice in one day - the second one 7 or 8 hours after I charged it.  I have to reboot my charge 4 frequently due to GPS issues (since July 2022), but this is a new problem.  Been a loyal customer since 2017, seriously thinking about leaving now.

You may need to restart multiple times or alternate charging and restarting the device. Fitbit might need a restart to get to a point where it can accept a charge, but it might not yet be recovered enough to turn on. Perform a factory reset of the Fitbit.

Will

I have tried everything. It does not vibrate. I cannot restart it. When I leave it on the charger it just gets warmer but is still dead with no vibration if I press the side or attach the charger.

I threw it in the trash yesterday and deleted my app.

Using my Garmin to track steps since you no longer support challenges, I don't need a Fitbit.
