Charge 4 won't turn on

I have had my Fitbit charge 4 since July 2022.

2 weeks ago, with over 50% battery, the screen went off while wearing it and I have been unable to use the watch since.

When I put it on its charger, it vibrates as expected and the screen comes on with a smiley face, but then the screen immediately goes off again. With the watch still on the charger, if I hold the button down for 20 seconds, the watch will start to vibrate any time the button is pressed, but the screen still remains blank. 

I have tried repairing the watch with my phone and tried reinstalling the Fitbit app on my phone. Still I can't get the watch to sync with my phone or for the screen to turn on.
