Charge 4 wristband connector broken.

I absolutely love my charge 4 and never had any issue with it. It was perfectly fine until the wristband connector broken whilst getting dressed!!!

Is it covered by the warranty? The store I bought it from claims not. I have never dropped it or misused it in any way for it to break. I was putting on a sweatshirt and snap it broke.

I had the same issue. Except I was not even getting dressed. It just broke after an exercise session. The portion of the band that held the clasp broke. So the clasp is no longer connected to the part of the band attached to the watch. I think this is a manufacturing defect and should be replaced even though the watch is two years old.

Ok, so this is clearly a quality issue. Mine is less than 2 years old and I would expect a, not exactly cheap, watch ti last longer than this! Equally, I didn’t “do” anything, it just fell off my wrist while out walking!
I will contact customer service about it but from the other comments, I don’t hold out much hope! I just want this watch fixed, happy with it before this happened.

Same thing with mine the clasp that holds the band on the Fitbit charge 4 just broke off for no reason and it has no warranty they said,so what did you find on Amazon to hold your tracker on ? I can’t afford a new Fitbit at this time unfortunately

If it is within the warranty period they have to replace it like they did mine. Just try the online chat feature using a webbrowser it doesnt work that well on mobile as I had issues with the chat as well on my phone.

Here are four brands that are available on Amazon that are made to encompass the pebbles that have broken strap attachments,

they are reasonable and solve the problem.

I spoke with them on the phone they sent me an email denied warranty. I don’t understand this considering there is so many that has had this problem in such a short period of time of having a fit bit charge 4. I have been with Fitbit since 2015 debating on whether just to get a watch and say the heck with it even though I enjoy knowing all my stats I’ll get over it!

Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPhone I have not got a response yet to that answer. I actually have hair ties connected  to mine so I can continue wearing it but not very comfortable. Also I can put a tennis wrist stretchy band over the top of it to keep from losing it and continue wearing it. 8 years I’ve been their customer never had a problem like this before!  I think I will try to use gorilla glue but still put my wrist band over it just in case it comes apart. Just cannot see what time it is that way very disappointed customer you would think they would see all these complaints and do something about it there is a defect obviously!!!

I totally agree with you, the Charge 4 has more than one defect, but I have come to accept that they will not budge, believe me I have tried.  The bands from Amazon, that I mentioned in a previous post, do work and cost $8-$15, they aren’t the most fashionable but they serve the purpose and make your Fitbit wearable and functional. Good Luck

I had a result with customer services. I was still in warranty so was offered a replacement or 50% a Charge 5.

This is the design, the band is one piece, and the pebble sits in the open space, your second picture is correct

Finally got through to UK customer services on twitter chat and the issue has been resolved. Replacement being sent out (at no cost) for my 15 month old Charge 4 (was offered 50% off Charge 5 as an alternative). Happy with the eventual outcome, just a pity the build quality/design wasn’t better in the first place. Hope that gives others something to go on. Fitbit have retained a long term customer.

Is your band broken or is the band attachment on your pebble broken? The bands that I listed will work with both but there are many more available if the attachment hasn't broken off the pebble.  I hope the cost isn't too bad. Did you check to see what the warranty length is in Australia, it might be more than a year. Good luck!

The “pebble” is still attached, just come off on the one side. I am now getting ZERO response from Fitbit tho aside from the long, then short buzz & brief smiley face. No green lights on back!! I had unpaired beforehand so feel I’m really screwed! (had been running thru every attempted solution on every diff forum, so not like I don’t know what I’m doing!!) So frustrating 🤬
Warranty in Australia is 2yrs, so def good there, just need to get in contact/response from someone!!
