Charge 4 wristband snapped off

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Charge 4 strap has snapped off the piece connecting the wrist strap to the Fitbit literally just pinged off. It looks like the two screws keeping the clip piece attached shared off after 12 months. Disappointing considering this is the second Fitbit I have had that’s broke.

Is there any way to purchase a replacement part?

Sounds brilliant. Will keep details in case I need them in future.

So many closed forums on this manufacturer defect. Warranty should not be required for sales of a defective part. I’ve just encountered the same issue.

When you've got the replacement, did the old watch keep working?

I have only just got it today and they haven’t sent a strap - although old one not broken it has a piece of the watch stuck in it so can’t be used!

Exactly the same problem, luckly I had bought extra straps previously but the old device is not turning on anymore. Not sure if it authomatically stop working when you get a replacement, let me know how it goes with yours.

It should have a 1year warranty so Fitbit should review it for you

looks like Support keeps closing all the previous threads on this .

Well got my first replacement for this same issue this past November.

5 months later…my wife just showed me the same thing happened to the replacement watch.

Of course I’m sure this time they won’t replace it under warranty despite the fact that it is clearly a bad design impacting all watches.

Me too, now it's lost at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire. 😞 bye-bye, Fitbit.

I have now de registered  my old one on the app and replaced with new one. Old one still works though.

I did wonder what would happen if it happened again. Mine took 18 months so if it were the same that would be 3 years use. I would probably keep it 4 maybe. Someone posted a strap that holds the watch in a different way that doesn’t need the connection. Maybe the problem happens so often that it’s worth designing a strap to get over it.

There are straps on Amazon that you can use with the broken connector. I have one called "supcase", but there are others.

This is such a common defect that FitBit keeps closing discussions and new ones crop up almost immediately. They know about the problem and are seemingly refusing to do anything about it. I'm convinced that it will happen to just about anyone that buys a charge 4--usually it takes about a year.

I have made a note as yes, others have found their replacement fitbits have also broken off after about a year. It would be very interesting to know what percentage have had this problem. I assume they sorted it with the Charge 5.
