Discovered that the Charge is being discontinued.
That concerns me being that I just bought one a couple of weeks ago. I've already had trouble and they are sending me a new one. Don't disappoint me, FitBit!

I also found out that the Fitbit flex costs $17 to make but sells for $100 you'd think with that sort of profit margin they're be fairer with their users as per replacement to a better reliable model than trying to downgrade people who are used to certain features on a certain model they state that the charge 2 informs you of texts but doesn't count floors climbed I have a phone for texts my phone doesn't count floors climbed. All the best.
Not at all I'm just an unhappy customer

@blackwolf if you bought from eBay from a private seller then it is very likely you will not be covered by warranty. It is an ordinary condition of warranty that it applies to the original purchaser. Also your information is a little strange. The battery charger for the Charge does not fit the Alta.
If you were supplied Fitbits with multiple problems, and with no chargers, and you bought from eBay, then that is obviously not Fitbits fault!

There's does seem to be a lot of disappointed customers but I guess it's all down to money cheaper to replace or refurbish items or to offer a model which isn't like for like than to pull them of the shelves.Silly thing is if they treated people fairly people would remember that and come back in the future or recommend to friends and family so they're missing out on a lot of new business.

Fit bit sent the Alta as a replacment and no toggle or charge cord! Part of the issue isnt only the product ,but listening to the customer!

It is perfectly normal business practice to replace products with new products. That does not mean that the original ones were defective. It just means that technology moves on -- very fast these days!
Remember the original mobile phones? They were like bricks!
And today's mobile phones that fit in your pocket have as much processing power as a computer that used to take up a whole room. Those original computers weren't faulty...

@blackwolf and @Scott2020 if you buy from a third party seller on eBay you will get a cheap price, but you take your chances. I would prefer the peace of mind from buying from authorised sellers. Up to you, of course, but you can hardly claim that Fitbit owes you anything -- you aren't even a customer!

you're missing the point! The Alta sent from Fitbit was sent without any Accessories but another cord from the previous fitbit! Fitbit Tech was on the phone for 2 hours or so and they deemed it defective! Im quite aware technology changes thanks! I sold electronics of all sorts!

I am saying that because a product is replaced it does not mean that the original product was universally defective and that everyone with the old one should be compemsated or upgraded.
As I said, it is normal business practice to retire old products and offer new ones.
And if you bought from eBay I think you should consider yourself very lucky that Fitbit Customer Support is helping you with your issue.
