Charge HR 2 - how to swap to a new one

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've got a Charge HR 2 - I know it is a few years old now, but works fine - the screen however has a big crack on it.

I've been fortunate enough to have been given another one for free - exactly the same

I would like to swap them over and use the one I've been given, but when I charge it up it says 'Hello Megan' - and my name is not Megan.... if there a way I can reset it and pair it to my fitbit login so it can record my steps...etc..?

any advice would be appreciated thanks

@NZNick , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.

To start using a new Charge 2 with your account, you just need to pair the tracker with your account.
On the Charge 2, the data is automatically cleared when the device is paired to a new account. Meaning, the "new" Charge 2 will be reset after you pair it to your account.

ok thanks - but my question is how do I pair it to my account if I already have one paired to that account?

if I delete / remove my existing fitbit, how do I get the new one to pair to my account?

Thanks

@NZNick Thank you for your answer.
You cannot have 2 devices from the same model paired to the account at the same time.
Once you try to pair the new Charge 2 to your account, you'll be asked if you want to remove the previous tracker from the account. You have to agree there.

I suggest you read this: Add or replace a Fitbit device on an existing account
