Charge HR Suddenly Stopped Working

Hi There. My fitbit charge HR is onle 7 months old and it (for some reason) has stopped working.

I charged it last night, put it on this morning fully charged, checked the time at 830 ish and the time was off by about 25 mins. I synced to my android phone app and the time corrected itself on the fitbit. Not even a half hour later i tried again to check the time - it only had the fitbit logo and the version number (122) then went blank again. As of noon or so today I can even get the fitbit to turn on or show anything on the screen. The heartbeat monitor light isnt even on and now I cant connect to it via bluetooth or via the cord. 

Please advise how to correct this asap

Well it has been a couple more weeks of frustration now with my Charge HR. It wasn't working (counting steps or mmeasuring pulse) so put it on the charger connected to the PC. Showing that it was 3/4 charged. I just let it sit there and the green LEDs flash twice, then one more time then I see V122 on the display. About 30seconds later it flashes agian repeating the same as before. Then a third and fourth time. I never touched it. Just watched these resets repeat.  Then 45 minutes later I checked and it was charged up. Put it on walked around, step count = 0. Wonderful, great device. Did the recommended resets 4 times on the charge cable.  Then worked for 14 hours and the battery was dead.

Charged again, reset again and it worked for 2 days and battery dead. Charged and rest worked sort of. Counts about half the number of steps it used too. I walk with my wife and her Alta which we compare step counts with. Used to have about the same. Now I have less then 1/2 her count. Also less then 1/2 the stair count.

Suggestions on fixing this thing? Or a replacement? This Charge HR is about 10 months old now. Did not think I will buy another Charge HR.

how frustrating! These things shouldn't happen to 8-, 10-mo. old products costing over $100.

And it continues, walked a block to the mail box this morning which is easily 200+ steps and checked my Charge HR to see it counted about 40 steps. Not working as ity should. Does seem to keep track of my heart rate correctly.

The latest now that tge tracker has died. I charged it up and watched it repeatedly reset. By that I watchex the geern LEDs flash a couple times then the display would flash the Fitbit logo with V122 just barely long enough to see what it was. Then repeat. This went on 10 12 times until I pressed the button and held it in. It did one more reset and the V122 displayed and stayed so I let up the button. Counted 6 steps all day with my walking blocks. Never did show my pulse, only --. I would say it has died now. Only 10 months old.

It's about time Fitbit improves its product. If not soon it going to start losing business. There are a lot of trackers on the market.

Similar issue here.  My hr charge display doesn't work except for occasionally the version screen that pops up when I do this solution.  I have tried several times and I'm not having any luck.

any other ideas?

Call the company and see if they will replace it. They did mine.

I already did.  Was out of warranty by a week and they wouldn't help.  Was disappointed in the lack of customer service after I had purchased two of these for our family if I can't get it working I won't buy anything else from Fitbit. hoping to fix it

I feel the same as you and I only got offered a 20% discount. From reading this thread it seems that this product has many problems.

good news, the problem turned out to be the charging cable, and not the Fitbit HR. I ended up purchasing a second Fitbit HR, then discovered the cable in the "new" Fitbit would charge the old HR. On Amazon, was able to purchase replacement charging cables for less than $15. Frustrating to spend over a $100, when a $15 fix would have worked.

The plastic band covering on my replacement HR has started to separate. It suddenly blushed up. It is a year old this month. I know at least 3 others that are having the same problem.

I pushed the button to turn on notifications since they had stopped working and the screen went blank and won’t come back.

90% charged ifhooked to cable battery symbol comes up

Call the company. They may replace your Fitbit.

I called this morning and explained all the problems, we went through the procedures again which fixed nothing.
They sent an email with two choices, either a new charge two or 50% off any other model.
I choose to replace the Charge two and by this afternoon had a confirmation
that it would be delivered this Sat!

they did replace it and the second one did the same thing!

Same with me. But I called again and they told me this was the last time. Even upgraded me to the HR Charge 2.

They wouldn't do it for me the second time - their reason was I was out of
warranty (but only by a month)
I just went ahead and bought another one. But I got another model.
Apparently the HR has some major problems. I have two other friends who had
an HR and theirs stopped working also!

So far my new one is working...

Thanks, we have two and I abuse mine it’s been in the rain wet from fishing
And all around banged around- no problems.
My Wife baby’s hers and it doesn’t work, I think it is the button itself
