Charge HR falls apart!

Today I contacted Fitbit customer support becasue my second Charge HR since last christmas is falling apart. there are several issues I've experienced with these devices.

First, The band is separating from the tracker.  This happened to both me and my husband's devices. I see many other posts about the same thing.  Why hasn't fit bit come up with a solution for this? I asked if they could replace with a different model and was told this was against ciompany policy.  Customer satisfaction should never be against policy.  Shame on you Fitbit.

The screen on my device is cracked. I do not bathe or swim with the device on but there is a sizeable hole in the face of the display and a line through the read out that makes it difficult to see. The product looks cheap and I have not misused or abused it - just normal daily use. The hole also makes it subject to further damage as water could easily splash inside the tracker just from normal actvity like washing hands.

Both my husband and I have had our trackers just stop working altogether. They wont turn on or charge and customer support has not been able to help us trouble shoot.  Again, the devices were only about 6 months old, or less. Mine was only 3 months old and it just stopped working!

While our devices are being replaced, a product that costs well over $100 should last longer than  6 months.  I appreciate the year long warrenty policy but don't expect this device to last either.  If and when it breaks, I will be investing in someone elses product that has better quality. I can't spend my time with customer service, the hassle of providing my information, lapses in tracking and setup, etc.

Hey @jersey_josie, it is great to see new faces around the Community! I'm very sorry to hear that yours and your husband's Charge HR is getting damage, however as they still under warranty, Fitbit Support replaced them. I understand how you feel because your trackers are not lasting more than a year and for that reason, you would like to upgrade and change your product, but as they mentioned, it is not possible 'cause this isn't under Fitbit policies, I mean exchange products even if you pay the difference. However, I appreciate your comments and feedback regarding the quality of our products. Please note that the Fitbit engineers are working in order to improve them.

Keep me posted if you have questions!

I had a 2nd Fitbit Charge HR fall apart on me, and also lasted less than a year.

My second Fitbit has fallen apart and would still be within the 2 year warranty for Europe, however they have told me that the warranty is dated back to my original tracker and not my replacement?!!
