Charge HR has 2 buttons - what do they do???

No clue in the pdf manual or help101.

I discovered this when first trying to connect my new Charge HR to my phone - when it displayed that 4 digit number I had to press the flat square button on the right side of the display because pressing the protruding button on the left side did nothing. I now forget which button I used for doing a reset procedure.

So what does each do?

Thanks!

EDIT: I know holding down the protruding button on the left starts the timer and is used to stop the timer.

EDIT: I looked at a teardown(replace wrist bands) and it appears that what I refer to as the right side switch is the clip part of the watch. So I wonder why that functioned as a switch to answer the 4 digit code?

There is only 1 button on the Charge HR; it is on the left.  What you are interpreting as the square flat button on right side is just the casing.  If it seemed that you had to press that, it might have been just to get some leverage on the other side to be able to press in the left side button.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
