Charge HR not getting paired with my phone

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello,

I am trying to pair a Charge HR with my Android phone (OnePlus 6T). I see the number on the Fitbit device and after entering it in the Fitbit app, it just sits there spinning. I have tried this multiple times after restarting my phone, stopping and starting bluetooth on my phone, restarting the Charge HR device etc. and it hasn't worked till now. Please help.

Thank you.

This may be a problem.

The OnePlus 6T is not on the list of supported devices at www.fitbit.com/devices

I also did a quick search and found a number of threads where people have, like you, tried to use one but it didn't work. For example: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Ionic/Compatibility-with-oneplus-6T/m-p/3141817

Do you have access to to a different device or perhaps a computer that you could use?

Thanks for the reply @SteveH

I have access to a Windows 10 machine and I installed the Fitbit desktop app there. When I tried to pair the Charge HR device there, I see the same issue. I reach the step where I entered the 4 digit number and after that, it just hangs trying to connect.

That's not sounding good.

I think it may be necessary for customer support to assist as they may be able to tell what's happening from the server side.

Before that it's worth trying a restart of the Charge HR. This does no harm and can sort out all sorts of issues. The instructions are at: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186/

Out of interest, is the fitbit new? I ask as the Charge HR is quite old now. It was replaced by the Charge 2 which has now also been replaced by the Charge 3. I believe it is still supported by fitbit though.

Thanks @SteveH for your quick responses. I tried restarting the Charge HR and that didn't help.

Yes, it is a new device. I just hadn't used it all these days.

On your suggestion, I contacted Fitbit support. They pretty much washed their hands off saying that it won't work with my phone nor would it work with a Windows 10 Home computer. Apparently, it only works with a Windows 10 Pro computer. I was advised to get a device which is in the list of devices they linked to at https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2315/?q=Which+phones+and+tablets+can+I+use+with+...
