I just charged up my Charge HR after not using it for about 2 years. It's working fine; I downloaded the Fitbit app and my Charge HR is connected to it and syncing, but it won't connect to my phone's bluetooth. The bluetooth is on, I've restarted my phone as well as the Charge HR and tried over and over to get it to connect but it won't. I would like to install the updates but apparently can't without bluetooth. I've tried some of the troubleshooting online but nothing seems to work. I would appreciate any ideas.

Hi, @Sevenclarks , I am super impressed that your Charge HR is working after sitting unused for 2 years!
If your Charge HR is syncing, then it is definitely connected to Bluetooth - that’s how it syncs! (It connects to the app via Bluetooth and then your app connects to the Fitbit servers via internet.)
I would recommend logging out of the app and logging back in again (make sure you know your Fitbit account email and password). Logging in should prompt a message asking you if you want to pair your Fitbit, if it is not already paired.
If that doesn’t work, could you let us know what phone you are using?

I tried that with no change. When I open the app on my phone (Samsung G9) there is a box with "Charge HR Update Available." If I click on "Update Tracker" it doesn't do anything, kind of refreshes the page. Just above that box it says "To sync reliably, let Fitbit link to Charge HR." When I click ok I go to a page titled "Bluetooth Pairing and Linking." When I try to link to bluetooth it says there was an error and asks if I want to try again. All my settings on my phone seem to be fine, bluetooth is on, etc. A couple times when trying to pair it asks for permission and I click ok, then get the error message again.
Thank you for your help.
