Charge screen dead and won't restart

I noticed my Charge 3 going dim (at least half the face). The it got worse really fast. I read over comments here and tried restarting. However, when I hold the side button, all I get is 3 pulses, then nothing. Actually, 2 pulses, then a slow 3rd one. No "smiley face" to restart. Then, I tried changing clock faces, as others have done. Nothing, and this might have made things worse. Now, the screen is completely blank, but, it does synch.

 

This is only just over one year old! Is there a forced, force start?

mine did not go dim it just flat-out went blank I get the same thing with pulses and then nothing this is my second charge 3 since Christmas 2019. I had the charge 2 4/2 years before it finally stopped working. I think there is an issue with the charge 3 but they will not admit it.
