Hello @robinrainey, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around! Smiley Happy

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Have you tried to reset your Charge lately? If so, the exclamation point on your tracker means the Charge started a firmware update but was unable to finish it. At this moment I would like to ask you to go to your phone Bluetooth settings and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, remove it and try to start the update again from the Fitbit app.

Now, if the exclamation point is still showing up, my best recommendation would be setting up your tracker as a new device as this will force the update to finish. Don't worry, none of your information will be deleted when you set up your Charge as a new device:

To set up your tracker:

  1. Open the Fitbit app and tap on the Account symbol at the top right corner of the screen, then tap on "Set up a New Device"
  2. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue
  3. When the app asks you to replace your current tracker, please replace it and continue with the process.
  4. When a pop-up appears asking you to Pair your tracker to your device, tap on Pair and continue.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else!

Thank you very much for responding but since I am kind of addicted to the tracker I went out and bought a Charge 2 so I can start the work week challenges! Was having withdrawals lol. I love the charge 2.

Hello,

I’ve had my Fitbit Charge 3 for a couple of months.

I’m getting the Battery with an Exclamation error. Tried unpairing, resetting adding as a new device still shows the error. In the Fitbit android app it sees the device and says battery empty. It doesn’t seem to want to charge with the error on the screen.

Any suggestions how to get past this error and get the device charging again?

Thanks!

Hello

My Fitbit charger 2 is showing battery sign exclamation mark. I followed the instructions in this thread to set it up as new device. Now the app is requesting 4 digits pin to pair with the device. But the Fitbit still only shows battery exclamation. Where do I find the pin?

Thank you.

My Fitbit seems to have paired with the app. The app says battery empty. Fitbit still shows exclamation mark and does not seem to charge battery. The app says the Fitbit has firmware version 22.22.58.0.

Is it still a firmware issue? How do I recover?

I am having this problem as well.  I got as far as step 4 where the app asks for a pin that should be showing up on the fitbit screen.  All I can see is the battery icon with the exclamation point.  What now?
