I out did myself today; 100K steps! However, I left my Charge 2 at home on my nightstand. Why is it counting steps? Also, it seems to not be tracking my sleep. Any ideas? Most of the Q&A is related to inaccurate step counting while the Fitbit is being worn.

@NotYoBusiness Welcome! It's nice to have you on board!
Let me help you with your steps and sleep tracking. In this case steps may be counted if your device was subjected to vibrations from an external source like a working fan, ac unit or even a computer. You can negate steps by logging a driving activity.
Regarding yur sleep, your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. Additionally you can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand to decrease the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time. You can read more about sleep detection here.
Let me know how it goes.

Not that simple.
Nothing on/near my nightstand during the day that would be causing interference for the Fitbit.
I wear my Charge 2 on my nondominant hand as a norm so as not to interfere with writing, etc.. Manually logging my sleep defeats the purpose of purchasing this device.
I've restarted the device to see if this corrects either issue. Next step will be a factory reset. Fingers crossed or I'll be looking for a replacement and a different brand.
