Charge2 loosing sleep data if not synced within 2 days

I don't manage to sync my Fitbit Charge2 data every day as I am not online all the time, so I actively choose to sync. When I sync with more than 48 hours between sync events, all my sleep data from nights before are without detail. E. G it's Saturday eve at the moment. I last synced on Monday. The last two nights sleep data are detailed, but but not Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night. I am observing this since using the device. All other data are still syncing perfectly with app, but not sleep details. Help, please.

@KathNZ It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

Sorry to hear that you aren't getting sleep stages after your devices goes without syncing for few days. You may not get sleep stages for the following reasons:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

Some members have commented that editing the sleep logs (adding or removing a minute) helps retrieve the sleep stages.

Let me know how it goes.

@AlvaroFitbit  Thanks for looking at my post. I don't believe the difficulties are because of the generic possible reasons you kindly listed as, when not synced/ data transferred within a period of just over/ around 48hrs (I actually never timed it exactly), the details are gone - of all days which were before that 48hish period. It is unlikely, that I am sleeping every second day in a funny position or the fitbit has moved,  and I am definitely not sleeping less than three hours "-) Thank g...! I would be a total mess... The missing data pattern is just too obviously correlating with my syncing... Any other suggestions? Also the fitbit is often not recognized by the smartphone as bluetooth device despite repeated pairing it and no, I am not using any other bluetooth connections to/from the phone.

Thanks for any other helpful suggestions. Just updating the firm software - maybe that helps. Cheers,
Katharina
