Charge3 Stopped Tracking EOV (Oxygen Variation) 3wks ago. No red light.

  • Hello,

I have a Charge 3, less than a year old. I noticed it stopped tracking the EOV (Estimated Oxygen Variation) 3wks ago (5/17, today is 6/5). I do not see a red light either. 1)The back contacts are clean, 2) I have restarted the device. Still no red light that I can see. Is this a known issue? Is the device faulty?

Same issue here. I bought a Charge 3 a month ago, everything works except the Estimated Oxygeen Variation. See screenshot below:

I've seen lots and lots of posts on the same subject. This needs a fix ASAP, it's one of the reasons I picked this device over other models and IT DOESN'T WORK!!!

Hi noEov

Laptops need a restart sometimes and so does this amazing little Fitbit. :sun_with_face:

Restart your charge 3 - on your charge 3 scroll left to settings - open - scroll up to About - open - scroll up to Reboot device - open.
This works 😊

Hi Anoroc and Citichik,
I'm having the same issue as Citichik. It worked well for > 2 months, now. All of a sudden, I only got 2 nights with an EOV display out of 7. Also no longer any red light at the back of the tracker.

I have reset the device twice now (without deleting the user data, which is also offered separately above). But I'm pessimistic, since the red light is not back. So if it doesn't work tonight, I will delete the user data and reset, again. I'll keep you posted with the results...

Hi JoernB

Just try the 15sec restart again 1st.

Now do the reboot.
Finally change the clock face to Analog.

These have worked for me.

Hey Anoroc and Citichick,
Great - it worked! EOV display is back now since I did the reboot as described by Anoroc on 06-06-2020.
The red light at the back of the tracker doesn't seem to be a good indicator for a working EOV. When I peek below the watch, the red light will only seldomly show. Nevertheless, the EOV seems back reliably, now. And if it should get stuck somewhen, I know now, what to do

Have a happy day 🙂

BTW: it had nothing to do with battery power (works well now also below 20% power) and I just now read about the >8sec / 15sec restart - this wasn't necessary, either, to make it work again:

I've the same issue.

I only got it yesterday. It worked for 24 hours and has now stopped. I've pressed the reboot button numerous times. I have turned hr monitor off and synced to phone and turned back on etc.

Nothings working.

I also have two lines across my screen where the pixels arent working.

It is also far too dim to see in sunlight.
