Charge3 band won’t stay attached

The band on my Charge3 randomly becomes disconnected from the bottom portion of the tracker several times a day. You can see on the actual device that the clips on the tracker are not as prominent on the bottom as they are on the top. I had a Charge3 develop these problems about 10 months after I started using it, contacted FitBit and got a replacement sent. The replacement has the same exact issue. The bands are from FitBit and only have this problem when attached to the bottom of the tracker, not the top. Is this a known defect? Is there a different version that does not have this same issue that I can look into?

My charge3 band is broken at the attachment and I have been unable to find replacement wristband on site. Anyone know if they are available?

This happens if dirt gets stuck in the connectors I used cocktail sticks to remove it. May take a while but It should reconnect.

I followed the instructions for replacing the band on my charger 3 and I am experiencing the same problem, the one side of the band that contains the holes does not click in place.  There is no debris, it just does not click in place.  This is quite frustrating, as the Fitbit itself is fine.  Please note also, that my band just suddenly broke without warning.  What do I do to make the band click in place?

I had that issue only the spring action actually stopped working so I had to pry the connection bar up prior to connecting my band.  I decided to just by a new one and save the other for a backup.
so frustrating.

Did you buy a new band, or a new watch?

What did you end up doing to resolve this? I have tried a new band and it also does not stay connected, so I assume that it’s something wrong on the watch itself.

My partner cleaned the connection using cocktail sticks and then I ordered a new band from amazon. I haven't had a problem since fingers crossed.

Thank you for responding. I did clean in there. It’s difficult to see if there’s something I’m not getting. I’ll try that again. If it doesn’t help, I might have to buy a new watch.

@LoLoMcVickers It's nice to have you on board!

Let me help you with this and thank you for cleaning the device. This does seems odd but you can try the great suggestion @Letters2u307 shared with you about using a toothpick to clean the area. I really don't want you to spend more in a new device if this can be saved by something like this. If you are still having issues then I suggest you contact our Support team for further assistance. The best way to get help for this problem is to chat with us online or give us a call. Hope this helps.

Having the same issue. Fitbit works but band won’t stay attached. I’ll try toothpicks

I think that’s what I did. It has stayed together since then.

My Fitbit did the same thing. I called Fitbit support. Mine was still under warranty and they had to send me a new Fitbit. No band, just the device itself. I was lucky still under warranty.

Thank you

I called fitbit and they replace the watch part. Mine was still under warranty. A pice of the part the connects was loose/bent and wouldn’t stay connected. I bought new bands too for the replacement

I bought brand new vans from Amazon. Got three in a package and two of them immediately break off of the clock face once I put them on my wrist
