Charge3 no longer provides maps after update

I performed an update in late Sept and since then my Charge3 will no longer map my activities or connect to my phone for activities.  I can sync, and manually connect to start an activity, but it will not track the whole thing.  Before the update it worked fine.  

 

I have reset my fitbit AND reset my app, but still not working.  I am able to map my workouts thru other apps, but it was more convenient to just hit the fitbit run or bike activity.

 

Please fix this!

Hi @Dsowers, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that that your Charge 3 is not providing accurate GPS data. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

 

I'd like you to try a long restart. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable. 
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds. 
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration. 
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur. 
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.
  8. Check out this help page, which explains how the GPS feature works on your Fitbit device. This article also includes some troubleshooting steps for you to try.

Finally, monitor your tracker and see if it provides accurate GPS data.

This did not work for me. GPS still doesn't work and the move reminder will not notify me either

I have tried to reset via your instructions SEVERAL times, but it will get to a happy face then goes back to regular display.

 

Is there something wrong with my Charge3?  I was able to perform the reset in early October, but the GPS still isnt working  nor will the fitbit connect to my phone to track workouts.

I was finally able to get my fitbit to reset/resync.  But I still have no GPS tracking.  

 

Who should I contact for actual customer service on this?  I have had this tracker for around 6 months  but 3 of them have been USELESS since the update you provided in September!
