Child account only configured for Ace

Surprised that Fitbit is not configured to allow a choice in devices to connect for a child. Why would it only be configured for Ace. Ridiculous!

Its the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

 

"Persons under the age of 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction, are not permitted to access or use the Fitbit Service unless their parent has consented in accordance with applicable law"

One should not be forced to use an Ace because Fitbit says Ace is the one for a child. Perhaps it is the parent or guardian that might want to use another device. That should be easy for you to do.
