Hey all,
Any chance anyone knows if Fitbit will make a clip (ala the One) so we have the option of mixing up where we wear it? Or if there's a third party manufacture who will make a clip for the fitbit charge2?
I'd love to have the option of taking off the band and wearing it elsewhere.
Anyhow - thanks all!

I’ve had three Ones and all three “died” - they started locking up, wouldn’t hold a charge, etc. I finally had my fill of working out for an hour only to find that my One had frozen ten minutes into the session, with the result that my efforts weren’t logged. I frequently use an elliptical trainer, and have to tuck my new Charge 2 into my waist band - hardly ideal... A clip-on would be great for those occasions!
I finally bought a rubber "sleeve" (see below), clipped the ends a bit and now keep it in my pocket. It's hardly the preferred method, but there were simply too many times when wearing the Charge 2 on my wrist didn't accurately reflect my steps or stairs. I confess I'm pretty disappointed in this device, I hate paying for features I can't really use. Too bad they just couldn't have improved the One instead of discontinuing it!

I found an older Flex on eBay, and bought a magnetic tie clip holder of for it - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UHMILTI/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It fits nicely in my obi.
I wear a charge 2 during the day, and swap them out when I get to the dojo.
Do you have a link to the type of band you purchased?
Now I'm thinking bra holder for the Charge 2.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013RZGBU2/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AOJR7AXWQZ06P&psc=1
If the band is wide enough to go around your obi, it should work well. Just ordered one; I'll see how it is.
Thanks!

what I ended up doing is getting a magnetic holder for it so that I can wear it on the wrist, but when I can not, I can do this and clip it to the neck/waist, just imagine the orange post it note as the neck line/waist
only issue I have it worrying it unclipping and losing another fitbit....

Hello,
I wondered how the fit bit charge fitted in the zip case?
Thanks

Greetings
I have a Fitbit Charge 2 and tired of having to wear the device and move my arm all of the time. I simply tied a secure string around the end of the Fitbit and attached a clip to the string. It still tracks steps and stairs (which is all that I really care about). And it still allows me to charge it easily. Prioblem solved!!!

and where do you hook it?

You can hook the clip to your shirt, belt or pants pocket!

and what sort of clip do you use? I have a clip from my one. It decided to konk out on me. I loved the One.

Derrick - I'm replying to this old post. This was 18 months ago, when Fitbit was still offering the One device. Now the One has been discontinued. The Zip tracker doesn't provide the functionality and requires battery replacement (less environmentally friendly).
The Charge 2 can have the bands removed. Could Fitbit please design a clip style to hold the device (understanding the heart rate monitor won't work)? There's obviously a demand in the community from a large number of posts asking for this feature. I've scrolled other posts but the alternatives aren't suitable. Throwing it in a pocket isn't secure, and repurposed belt holders for USBs aren't designed to hold it.
Thanks
Peggy

There's a pretty simple DIY(ish) solution to this, if anyone is still looking.
Do a Google (or Amazon) search for: "Fitbit charge 2 connectors"
These aftermarket clasps convert the Charge 2 band to a universal 20mm connector to attach any watch band of that size.
Here's the one I got from Amazon: MoKo Fitbit Charge 2 Watch Lug
Of course, you don't have to connect a watch band to this thing - instead just find a suitable belt clip or whatever other thing you want and hook it up to the lug bar that detaches.
Here's the belt clip I went with: AndyGo men's leather key chain
And here's the result:
So far it feels pretty solid, but I'll let you guys know if it ends up breaking and I lose it Lol

Hi, my Fitbit Charge 2 wristband has broken even though I only bought the watch less than a year ago. What should I do? Order another band?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am I looking for a clip style that can be used to hook to a pocket or undergarment.

Funny that this is listed as “accepted solution” since no solution was ever offered. Even over a year later I’m still very upset that Fitbit discontinued the One without ever replacing it. There are third party clips for the Alta which has been my solution since that time but I’ve had to give up tracking floors since this tracker does not include an altimeter. There are many activities that a wrist based tracker just doesn’t work for; basically anything where your legs are moving but your arms are not.

@JohnLa_ That's a good solution, thanks! I think I will try to rig up something similar.

Well, am I glad I'm not the only one that is searching for a clip for the Charge 2. I have a One and a Charge 2. Now both are discontinued.
My solution for a clip for the 2 was to take a One clip, and since the Charge 2 is slightly too big for it, I took a thin strip of Velcro, wove it through the little triangular openings on the One clip, and fastened it over the top of the 2. So far it's stayed in place, but I only clip it on my underwear when I have no pockets, so maybe that keeps it from jostling too much and getting loose. Not the best solution, but it's worked for me. The steps are off by 200 or so from the One, but that's fine for my purposes. I am ever on the search for a better alternative though!
So my rant is: Why in the world do they offer a clip for ONE of their products the Inspire, and none of the others??!?!? I would even consider buying another product even thought both mine are still working great, but the Inspire clip is only for the model with less features. Grrr.....
You'd think with all their massive profits from selling blingy wristbands they could fashion a clip for more of their products.

I completely agree. I've notice if holding the heart monitor for a programmed activity say on a treadmill or stair climber the Charge 2 does not track accurately. Similar if holding the handle of a grocery cart, the Charge 2 does not track. I want tracking on all steps all day, not just during workouts. I did purchase an after market ankle band, works great, however with warmer weather coming I find it doesn't look great with shorts and sandals in everyday environments.

I had bought a Fitbit Zip and am using the clip on for my Charge 2. It’s snug but doable. I hope this helps.

Tomoko59,
I thought of the Zip clip, but it looked like it would be too big, not too snug. That's great news! The Fibit One clip barely fits the Charge 2, and sometimes I wonder if it's going to pop out even with the velcro to hold it in place. I would buy the Zip, but I like the extra features of the Charge 2, particularly the active minutes. I wonder if I can just buy the clip. Thank you!
