I am looking to get a contract with one of these phones, but could anyone confirm if their fitbit is compatible, with no problems syncing? Any confirmation or denial would be much appreciated.

I'm looking at buying a new Samsung Galaxy J6. I've looked on the fitbit website which says Samsung Galaxy J is compatible but could anyone confirm if they have successfully used their Samsung Galaxy J6 with their fitbit? I would like confirmation before I go ahead with buying it.
Many thanks

Hey @RochAnd, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community!
Neither the Samsung Galaxy J6 nor the Samsung Galaxy J4+ are on the Fitbit compatible devices list, so I'm afraid that I can't guarantee that they will work with any Fitbit device or watch. However, the fact that they are not on the compatible devices list, doesn't mean that it won't work, so you could give it a try. 😉
Let me know if you have further questions!

Hi HeydyFitbit
I have just tried unsuccessfully to sync my flex 2 with my new J6+. It recognises my Fitbit but it times out trying to sync. Any suggestions?

Yes! I have used it for a couple of days now with my charge 2.
Everything but geo tracking seems to work allright.

Hey guys, welcome aboard!
@HSJ, this phone model, the Samsung Galaxy J6+ might be under testing, that is why is experiencing difficulties to connect with your Charge 2. Since I don't know when is gonna be released as full compatible, I can only suggest you to try the tips in this help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
@Orubosy, which phone model do you have? And when you say that only the geo is not working good, what exactly do you mean? Let me know . 😉
I'll be around!

Hi Heydy Fitbit and others. I tried syncing my charge 2 with the J4+ with no luck. Fitbit sent me 2 replacements but none of them worked. I tried syncing with at least 5 other phone brands to see if it was the fitbit or the phone but still no luck even though some of them were definitely on the compatible list. In the end I'd had enough and got my money back. I wasted a lot of time trying to sort it out and it was very frustrating

Hey @RochAnd, I hope you are doin' fine! I appreciate you have tried to sync your Charge 2 with different phone models, 'cause the one you mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus, is not on the compatible devices list. I'm sorry to hear that you are going through all these inconveniences and that the Fitbit experience didn't meet your expectations. It is sad to see you leaving the Fitbit family but if you have further questions or comments in the future, let me know!
I'll be around!

Welcome to the Community @Orubosy! Thanks for the update. Sounds great that the Samsung Galaxy J6 is working fine with your Charge 2, even though this is not on the compatible devices list.

Is the J4 + going to be include in the compatibility list any time soon?

Hey @Alexscuba, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community! To be honest with you, there is no date for this phone model, the Samsung Galaxy J4 to be released as compatible. So I will ask you to be patient in the meantime and just stay tune. 😉

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @sfrb and @Sfbk ! I am sorry for the delayed response.
@Sfbk I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your feedback about the difficulty you're experiencing with receiving notifications from your new Samsung Galaxy J4 plus phone. Our engineering team works really hard to keep up with every new phone and mobile device releases, so our customers can enjoy their trackers to the fullest. I recommend keeping an eye on this page, as it will be listed there when your device is fully supported (https://www.fitbit.com/devices). While your device is not a supported device for the Fitbit app at this moment, it doesn't mean that it won't work with the app entirely, but rather that some of its functions might work intermittently.
@Sfbk Usually a missing requirement is the cause and I recommend confirming the steps to set up notifications in this help article: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? Move on to the troubleshooting steps if the issue persists.
@sfrb Congratulations on your new phone! I am glad to hear your Charge 2 is syncing without any issues!
If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.

Hi sfrb. You say you got your J4+ to sync with your Charge 2. I've just got a new J4+ phone and have been trying for the past 3 days to sync this phone to my fitbit Charge 2 without any success. I get to the point where I am given the 4 digit code but it then times out everytime.
Any tips on getting this to work? Thinking about ditching Fitbit and moving to another brand of tracker though that would be as a last resort as was given my fitbit as a Christmas gift and I want to exhaust all avenues first.

Hi jmsr, I didn’t do anything special. Did a Bluetooth scan. My watch showed up and then paired.
Hope you have some success!
