Completely dead and not charging

My Charge 2 battery completely died and now it will not charge and has zero signs of life. Not lights on the back and nothing in the display. I've had it plugged in for 24 hours now and tried resetting it but still get nothing. I know the outlet works because I charge my phone there all the time and I've tried different cubes to make sure. It's not even a year old yet so I hope it's not broken for good. Anyone else experience this?

I have on earlier models but not on this one.  In previous instances this was solved by holding the button down for up to 20 seconds and it should become alive....

Same thing happened to my FitBit Charge 2 this week. One suggestion was to dab alcohol on the charging pins and now not even the green lights come on. I tried resetting per instructions . Completely dead. Not even a year old.  Not able to resurrect this thing.

If my tracker goes completely dead, it sometimes takes 8-12 hours on the chatger before any life shows, and another 2-3 before charged. Then i need to do a restart.

I'm having the same problem. Mine still shows small signs of life though. I charge it. It says it's full. I put it on. And it's dead. But the green lights are on. They're barely on. But they're there. My charge 2 is about 18 months old. I've tried restarting it. Idk what else to do.

Give up and buy another one. While I like the Fitbit system, I refuse to keep on putting money every two years....so I am no longer a Fitbit user.

I'm not having much luck to be honest, I paid a lot of money for mine, like
I said not even a year old. I'm going back to my blaze as I've had that for
about 3 years and had no problems at all.
This must be a fault with fitbit

Another thing I found out was I could never sync in the last two days, it
need to be updated which my phone was having problems with connecting to
blue tooth. It took ages so I gave up, do you think that could of been the
problem?

Thanks for your help I have another tinker about with it later, connect to
PC see if any change. But I think it's dead.

After 2 years 2 months my third Fitbit died. This is my last Fitbit ever!  I could buy a 50 dollar watch and it would last me a life time. I will never recommend your product.

Your battery in the watch will not last a lifetime.

I agree a good mechanical watch will last a lifetime. An electronic one will not.

I have my grandfather's over 100 years old pocket watch.

So send us a battery with instructions so we can use it again.

Mine did the same thing today. It was turning intself on and off a couple times yesterday, today it is dead. This is literally the 3rd fitbit I have had to buy. Seems they last just over a year (conveniently just out of warranty) and then bite it. Since it seems this product has a short lifespan I am going to look for something less expensive this time. Probably won't go back to fitbit until they can build it with a replaceable battery because I hate this kind of waste.
