Concerned About My FItbit Charge 2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This morning when I connected my Fitbit Charge 2 to the charger, I noticed the screen appeared white with some lines. My phone app shows a full charge, but the screen is still the same 8 hours later. I really hope this is a fluke, and my Fitbit Charge 2 returns to normal. One of my sons offered to buy me an Apple Watch just because. I declined. I preferred my Fitbit Charge 2 over the Apple Watch. Now, I do not have either to work with. Customer Service offered a 35% discount to buy another watch, but it's useless to me. It's for the older models including Fitbit Charge 3, which are having the same exact problems according to reports.

Try a restart do it 3 times

If it doesn't help try a Long Restart

Plug the device into the charging cable. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds. Remove your finger from button. Note: Device won't have a smiley face icon and should be off with a black screen. Remove the device from the charging cable. Plug the device into the charging cable again. The smiley face icon appears on the screen.

Thanks. When I did that, the white screen with lines flashed repeatedly every couple of seconds. Before the battery discharged dramatically (from 100% to low battery), I was watching the activity in my phone app. My Fitbit Charge 2 was still recording data; I just couldn't see it on the screen. When I attempted to charge it up, I saw a bright light flash every once in a while, but I could not identify where it was coming from. Now, my Fitbit Charge 2 does not turn on at all or charge. My dashboard shows a slashed battery, and it is at zero.
