Connected GPS feature works inaccurate on Samsung S10e Android 10

Hello,

After switching from my old Samsung A5 to S10e I have noticed that the connected GPS data is now almost all wrong. Instead of a nice curve, I have a crazy jumping line with a lot of gaps in GPS reception. Also, I do not see any system notification - it was something like "Connected GPS is running" in the system tray fo the A5 in the past.

I guess it is somehow related to Samsung's power policy, however, after turning it off completely as suggested at https://dontkillmyapp.com/samsung I still have the same weird GPS results.

Any more recommendations, please?

@pgrishkov I hope you're doing well! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Connected GPS not working properly on your new Samsung S10e phone and thank you for check the battery saving options. So this feature did work on your previous phone correctly, right? I suggest you try refreshing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  4. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.
