Connected GPS isn't working on my Charge 2

I have been using. Fitbit Charge 2 for 6 years.  I frequently use the Connected GPS feature to track my runs.  Suddenly the Connected GPS won’t stay on.  I go to Exercise shortcuts, choose Run, toggle it on so it shows green, but then if I start a run it won’t connect.  If I go back in to the shortcuts it shows that it’s off even though I just turned it on.  I have tried it over and over and it toggles off even if I just back out one screen and go back in.  It won’t stay “on”.

 

I have restarted my phone, turned Bluetooth off/on, restarted the Fitbit device, uninstalled and reinstalled the app.  Nothing has fixed it.  Help!
