Hello!
2 quick questions....
1. My Charge 2 is registering floors when I'm not climbing. My apartment is one level, 6 stairs up to go outside. This morning, it registered 3 floors just from walking from the bedroom to the living room.
2. Why doesn't the Charge 2 record steps while pushing a grocery cart? I just walked in 2 stores of roughly 100,000sqft, and it only registered 2500 steps?? I may have a small stride, but I can do in my 850sqft apartment in an hour!
Looking forward to your responses!

2. Being worn on the wrist, the Charge 2 will often miss steps when the wrist is held steady, rather than swinging naturally, such as while pushing a shopping cart or baby carriage, or holding onto railing on treadmill. One possibility is putting it in your pocket while pushing cart - generally gets steps but lose heart rate.

Only half of her question was resolved. I am having the same issue today that she describes in her 1st question. I did one flight of steps this morning and my Fitbit showed 8. I did another flight and it now showed 10 (the flight of steps I did generally always counts as only 1 flight, it's 12 steps within my house). After walking downstairs (before coming up a 3rd time), my Fitbit showed 20 flights. So after only 3 of stairs today, my Fitbit now has me at 21. This is the first time this has happened. My husband's also appears to not be right today. After doing 1 flight earlier, his said 8 flights.

Yes, you can put your fitbit in your pocket and it will count your steps but your heart rate will not be registered. If you get a large wrist band you may be able to put your fitbit around your ankle. It will count your steps and continue to register your heart rate. This is best done while wearing long pants 😉
