Starting earlier today, lmy Fitbit charge 4's do not disturb option has been locked on. If I go into the settings menu, or the quick menu, the DND option is blacked out and set "on". I'm entirely unable to interact with it. I have tried resetting my device, but that didn't help.  Sleep mode is not activated.

 

How can I fix this?

That probably means you are in Sleep Mode - that prevents turning DND off.  You can find Sleep Mode in Quick Settings near DND, or in full Settings.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
