Yesterday (Saturday) my days of activity stopped tracking in my app. I walked for 75 minutes on the treadmill at my gym, but nothing showed up when I synced my Fitbit at the end of the day (even though it’s clear from my heart rate - which does show up in the app - that I was exercising). The same thing happened today.

I saw from a previous post a recommendation to log out & log back into the app, which I’ve done, but it still doesn’t work. I manually added walking today, though that does not estimate my calorie burn.

I also don’t see the exercise showing up when I log into the website. See attached screenshots of heart-rate display and exercise display.

@Michael57 Welcome! It's nice to have you on board!

Let me help you with your missing exercise data. Where you grabbing the handrails on your treadmill activity? Your device detects activities based on the motion on your arm. The automatic detection is a feature called SmartTrack. For example when using the elliptical machine make sure you have the moving bars so your device detects the motion and record the activity itself, once an Elliptical activity is saved on your account it should show on the Recent Exercise area. If your heart rate is high but there isn't much motion (yoga, weight lifting, etc.) then these activities will be difficult to be detected by your device. Still you can manually log your activity so you have a record on your account or use the activity mode on the device itself.

Do you see all the other data on the website? Try using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome and clear its cache and cookies.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks, but I haven't changed my routine at all. I don't hold onto
anything while I'm walking or running on the treadmill... never have. My
arms naturally move along with the rhythm of my movement.
I don't like to enter activity manually, because that screws up my steps
count.
This is frustrating as I've been a Fitbit wearer for several years and this
has never been a problem until now.

And no, it doesn't show up on the website either. Yesterday I did a
combination of running/walking on the treadmill for a little over an hour,
but it shows nothing for exercise.

HELP! This is frustrating.

HELP! This is really frustrating!

Did you find a fix for this as mine is doing the same - exactly the same?  I did try a restart a few days ago and have done again (as someone suggested) but will not know for the next few days if that has worked.

Nope. Still not working. I bought a new FitBit as a friend suggested it might be the device. But the new one doesn’t work either, so I’m returning it. ☹️

Thank Michael.

Mine is still not tracking exercise and I cannot be bothered manually logging it each time (and that changes the steps when I have done it anyway).  My heartbeat is also not showing up each time since the end of Oct. I was thinking of buying another fitbit but now glad I have seen your response.  Might be time to try another brand I am thinking now.  Thanks again.
