Deep sleep reduced by heavy alcohol intake?

Ive stumbled across something interesting and very worrying, after a night out with mates I heavily drank. Following this night, my deep sleep has been greatly diminished from an avg of 1 hour and 30 to 40 minutes on a decent day to just 40 minutes max a day. Is there any reason for this specific change?

This is very worrying for me

Do you mean the next night, or are you talking about for several nights?

I do know drinking reduces REM sleep, which can take a few nights to get set back to normal.

Specifically, the nights after the heavy consumption of alcohol. I didn't have my fitbit to track my sleep, the night I slept right after I drank though. But its been at least 2 or 3 nights. My REM hasn't been reduced that much, more so my DEEP sleep has been reduced tbh.
