Hi @Doodledad, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for your post and the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know what do you mean when you say something Google has stopped to force us to upgrade? Also, your device stopped recording such information in full about 2 months ago or sometimes such information is in fact recorded? In the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your Charge 2 following the next steps and let me know if the issue persists:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker:
    • For Charge 2—press and hold the button on your tracker for 4 seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Keep me posted.

Restart did not help. For some reason even my charge 2 is not recording distance since past 1 week. Nothing changed, but still it completely stopped the distance and also at times it records my walk as outdoor bike, when I start a Run on the charge 2, it does not record heart rate splits, pace etc. Is this completely broken?
