My wife and I both have a charge 2. When we take a walk together, and literally walk hand in hand we have big differences in steps taken. My wife is smaller than I am and you would expect a higher step count for the same distance. However, she comes home with substantial fewer steps (hundreds) than I have.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Yes, @Aqualion - I would have expected the opposite, too. Each of you should log into the Fitbit apps on your phones. Tap Account then scroll down to Advanced Settings —> Stride Length.
Either way, be sure to back out correctly, tapping the option at the top, left corner until you get back to the main page. Then, sync your devices. Hopefully, this will help.

Are you holding each other hands, which might prevent the tracker from properly counting steps? IE: if her tracker is on the arm your holding, this may affect her steps counted.

Thank you for your answer!
Well, I thought about that, we wear the charge 2 both on our left arm, which is her "free"' arm so to speak when we walk. Also when we are not holding hands, the difference appears.
Yesterday I have changed (in the app 🙂 ) her step length from automatic to defined (60 cm) but today no improvement.
So, I am a little bit stuck to be honest.
Thanks for any help!
(tomorrow we will try a walk without holding hands, see how that goes)

Changing stride, at best will change the reported distance, it will not affect the steps counted.

The same thing happens with me and my husband! I am a lot smaller than him yet he always logs more steps, the stride length is set correctly on our devices! It is very frustrating….

Stride leangth has nothing to do with step count @Sallypaveley
The easiest is to take a walk. I count every left set. Then compare my count with the count Fitbit recorded.
You want to check your fitbit against you.
