Different resting heart rate on iphone app than on the online dashboard

I sync my fitbit using my iphone & Fitbit app. I have noticed that there is a difference between what my resting heart rate is recorded as on my phone and what it is recorded as when I check the dashboard on my mac.

For example for the last two days it has shown 43PBM on my phone and 44BPM on the online dashboard I use on my computer. There is also a difference between the lowest point my heart rate goes to at night according to the phone app and the computer (again with the iphone showing lower BPM).

Its not really a problem but I cannot understand how there can be differing information between the apps considering Fitbit uploads the info to the phone and then I presume once the iphone app is updated / synced then the online dashboard should have the same result?!!

I'm having this problem too. Doesn't make any sense!

@thespecialk That 1 bpm has been with me forever on my Android and occasionally they are the same.

My RHR fluctuates from 49-51, depending on the weather etc or if my body is warning me of possible infection it can go up to 55 bpm. Again the 1 beat variation is there most times.

@Colinm39 my RHR goes up and down over the month with my cycle.. so it climbs up 1BPM per day and then comes down again 1BPM each day until its stable for a bit and then goes up again etc, which is perfectly normal so thats not really my issue! My problem is more that I could be looking at the app on my phone right now and it says RHR is 45 BPM but then I go to my computer and look at the dashboard there and it says RHR is 46BPM? That seems to me to be some sort of software glitch?

I recently noticed this change too. There is a consistent difference of 1-2 bpm between the desktop Fitbit and my android Fitbit app. I also sync my Charge HR with them both. And that's not the only issue.

I've been consciously working at decreasing my stress thru meditation and exercise so have been recording my resting HR daily on a calendar to track my progress. I discovered not only the HR differences between the desktop app and the android app, but that even past recorded HR data changes. For example - two days this week it recorded 55 as a resting HR. Now when I look at my data, those two days are listed as 56 instead. The data was correct yesterday so it appears the changes happened overnight, at the end of the week. I guess in the grand scheme of things it's a moot point, but it a little disappointing that the data is being changed.

Same issue here. App says 61 and online says 62. Fitbit has something weird going on because I'm typically 64, and then all of a sudden I'm 59, and my stats haven't changed. I haven't hit a workout zone since the last update either. I walk a lot at work, and get pretty active.

@Shane1072   There has always been a 1 bpm difference, normally 1 beat higher on the web dashboard.

I'm posting in this forum about the fluctuating RHR with movements up and down and up again with resulting 4 bpm.  I have found sleep has a massive affect on RHR, especially the extra temperature when we use more warmth in winter.
